'Collection from Rio' (set of 4)

An invitation to tour Rio de Janeiro, these charming paintings share Ricardo Siccuro's vision. The set of four includes tempting beaches embraced by clean air and intense blue skies. Christ the Redeemer, always present, guards the city.

'Dancers and Drummer'

Reverberating to the insistent rhythm of drums, joyous feet pound the earth in an intricate story-dance told with the entire body. Emmanuel Atiemoh Yeboah captures the energy of a Ghanaian festival in a kinetic composition of color and vibrancy.

'Symmetrical I'

Textured fields move across the canvas in vertical panels. Their handsome asymmetry is exquisitely balanced, juxtaposing a wide expanse of pale ochre with a narrow strip of brown and a band of feathered ivory.

'Green Wicker'

Building up heavy acrylic textres, Ana Martins paints a handsome composition. The severe shapes are mitigated by the cloudlike colors and intricate weave of juxtaposing fields. Martins evokes green wicker in a sophisticated work of art.

'Yellow Wicker'

Ana Martins evokes yellow wicker in a playful composition, building up heavy acrylic textures. Sunny clouds lend an airy presence, contrasting with the intricate ochre weave. This enchanting abstract is signed on the back so it can be displayed in any position.

'Positive'

White spheres and rods on black form a playful dance. Selecting the colors to express opposites, Ana Martins creates an optical illusion in which both seem to compete for the foreground.

'Plenitude' (limited edition)

Warm hues of gold, ochre and brown collide into harmonious contrasts that exude dramatic energy. Geometry makes a subtle appearance as Verita paints with impassioned force and meticulous care.

'Blue Fugue' (limited edition)

Fascinating in its equilibrium, this original work by D. Tavares transmits an admirable sense of calm. Tavares finds inspiration in the work of Mondarian, painting blackened strips running down and across the canvas to create a tantalizing illusion.

'Landscape'

Andr de Miranda's creativity knows no boundaries, and as inspiration takes over him he delivers a fascinating and intriguing xylograph print. "This imaginary landscape came to mind as I was preparing the block of wood, " confides the artist.

'Skiing' (limited edition)

Descending a long white plane, fields of color take shape as precise squares. A wide, feathery brushstroke evokes the blur of movement in this abstract by Valter Gomes. He depicts a skier in a bold work titled "Esquiando" in Portuguese.
