'Damba Dance'

Poised on one foot, a graceful dancer whirls to a dance with the Damba tribe of northern Ghana. Dressed in a single cloth of batik, he wears beads and feathers on ankles and arms, and holds a traditional tool covered in kente cloth.

'Yellow Cut'

Brazilian artist D. Coelho breaks through the barriers of color and form in this stunning acrylic on canvas. Experimenting with textures, he creates the illusion of a jagged rip on the canvas as he works with sand. Titled "Corte amarelo" in Portuguese.

Set in precise fields of color, blue and orange front the cool green of Central Park. Purple shadows line the sidewalks, cast across the earth by skyscrapers. Verita's bold geometry and striking palette depict architectural elements as she recalls an afternoon in Manhattan.

'One Pear'

A golden pear stands under the soft glow of a spotlight while a single drop of water runs down its side in a composition by Azorin. Experimenting with textures and colors, Azorin conjures the elegance of the classic chiaroscuro with bronze leaf and oil paints.

'Samba Day at the Favela' (diptych)

The day is bright with the spirit of samba as a couple dances on the streets of the favela. Neighbors cheers inside houses where walls seem to dance to the festive beat. The only one oblivious to the celebrations is the faithful dog sleeping next to the musicians.
