Onyx sculpture, 'Polar Bear'

Snowy fur hides unseen amid the arctic's icy snowdrifts. Sculpted of white onyx, the polar bear is an imposing creature that can grow to nine feet in length and can weigh up to 1, 000 pounds. Justina Dina carves Andean gemstones for this bold statuette, adding a black onyx nose, jasper tongue and fangs of cowbone.
