With a textbook open on the desk, the professor explains a complicated concept. The chalkboard behind him is covered with notes. This dedicated teacher is crafted from an amazing assortment of bicycle and automobile parts. Armando Ram�rez recycles them as rustic art.
Iron statuette, 'Rustic Battle Tank'
A hidden gunman swivels the turret to search out the enemy as rugged caterpillar wheels traverse all kinds of terrain. Surprisingly realistic, this tank is fashioned by recycling automotive pieces. A bicycle chain encircles wheels made of bearings.
Iron sculpture, 'Blazes' Fire Truck'
Mexico's Armando Ramirez transforms recycled scrap metal and auto parts into this heroic fire truck. Old machine parts, mesh and metal sheeting scraps, found screws, and a pulley, cog, and bearings from auto junkyards are granted new life in his unique creation.
Iron sculpture, 'Rustic Steam Engine'
This tiny train engine is built from discarded thick wire, metal sheets, nuts and screws, as well as discarded pieces from a die machine. Once Armando Ram�rez builds the train's main frame, he uses a cog from a car's electric system and die pieces to form the cauldron.

Sweethearts gaze lovingly into one another's eyes. Armando Ram�rez recycles an amazing assortment of bicycle and automobile parts as rustic art. Spark plugs become their bodies while wire scraps are transformed into arms and legs. The feet are metal bits left from a die cutter.

Wearing heavy armor, Don Quixote de la Mancha prepares to do battle with windmills. Armando Ram�rez depicts the beloved character from Miguel de Cervantes' 17th century novel, sculpting the idealistic knight from recycled metal.

Bending over, he peers through the lens of a camera fashioned from a dimmer switch. He adjusts the focus with screws and nuts. Fashioned of an astonishing assortment of recycled metal, the image springs from the imagination of Armando Ram�rez.
Recycled aluminum sculpture, 'Go-Kart'
Piloted by a clown, this go-kart is fashioned from an empty deodorant bottle. Its wheels, steering wheel and driver take shape from automobile parts. By Luitpol, the fanciful sculpture of recycled materials is an affirmation for ecology.
