Earrings, 'Cascading Curls'
Argent torrents cascade with singular elegance rendering these earrings captivating. A silversmith by vocation, Ploy Intha presents this pair of earrings while taking care to detail the hand-crafting process, "an alloy, made of silver, copper and charcoal is melted in the forge and cast into a terracotta disc. The silver is beaten and stretched into small sheets and long strings which are coiled as rings and soldered into a dangling structure attached to hooks. Crescent moon like shapes are cut out from the sheets, bent in half and attached to the little rings to form the desired pattern and soldered unto the main body of the earrings. Once completed the pieces are washed in a tamarind solution, they are filed and polished." Make of these earrings a treasured gift for a special friend. .925 silver.
