Ceramic ornaments, 'Christmas Eggs' (set of 3)

Shaped like a hornbill's egg, these ornaments are embellished with diagonal lines spiraling around each piece. Samuel Lovi crafts each piece in ceramic according to traditional techniques. Then the eggs are painted with oil paints and kaolin to achieve an aged appearance. A rafia hoop and a beaded accent imbues this set with distinct African charm.
