Alpaca wool rug, 'Legacies' (3x5)

"I wanted to use the traditional colors of Andean ponchos to create a bright rug, " explains Zosimo Laura. "These colors are still in vogue, and what I like is the contrasts that they create." The Peruvian weaver weaves the rug on a traditional loom from alpaca and sheep's wool. The unique weave is distinctive of the Ayacucho textile legacy.
