Decoupage chest, 'Mother Mary'

Mary Mother of God is also a muse in the decoupage art of Mexico's Ana Maria Gonzalez. She adorns a pinewood chest with a selection of Renaissance paintings of the Virgin Mary holding Baby Jesus close to her heart. Gonzalez creates an aged finish with a tar-based polish, also prepared by her.
