Ceramic vase, 'Maya King of Palenque'

Angel Cer�n crafts an extraordinary ceramic vase, adorned with an image from the archeological zone of Palenque. The stern ruler sits atop the kneeling bodies of conquered enemies. Located at the western limits of the Maya territory where the sun sets, Palenque is thought to have been a necropolis.
