Planter, 'Salvatierra'
Distinguished for its pristine elegance, this plant pot is rich in rustic elegance and practical allure; it features an integrated plate. The floral motif is hand-painted in cobalt blue to create a stately contrast to the ceramic's white background. The Castillo Family crafts this piece with different clays obtained from the region, which they pour into distinct molds and allow to set. The process is akin to the renowned Talavera ceramics from the state of Puebla; however, the resulting piece differs slightly in color and texture. As such, this planter is a splendid sample of Mayolica ceramic, unique to the state of Hidalgo. Due to the hand-crafted nature of this piece, please expect a slight difference in dimensions and motifs.
