Wood doorknocker, \'Lord of the Forest\'

Revered as a beloved protector, the image of Bhoma serves perfectly for a doorknocker. Known as the Lord of the Forest, Bhoma\'s fierce expression hides a benevolent heart. The talented Kadek Rudyana carves the extraordinary deity into a hibiscus wood knocker, allowing the material\'s spectacular grain to lead the composition. Bhoma is the mythical son of the goddess of the earth, Prathiwi and of the Lord Vishnu, in his celeng or wahara incarnation. Despite his frightening appearance, Bhoma is a good and friendly spirit, much loved by the devout Balinese people.
