Mahogany jambe drum, \'Water Flow\'

Surf breaks in rhythmic waves across the base of a beautiful jambe drum. Hand-crafted by Ading � an accomplished musician � it is carved from mahogany wood, the resonant drumhead of goatskin is affixed to the body with nylon ropes. Percussion instruments play an important part in the Indonesian Gamelan orchestras that accompany dances, rituals and ceremonial events.
